Application summary of exogenous 5-ALA -- Small expert in coloring and sweetening

  The coloring and sweetening of fruit have great influence on the commodity value of fruit. However, light is the primary environmental factor affecting the synthesis and accumulation of anthocyanins in fruits. So how to regulate photosynthesis and promote fruit coloring? Here we recommend a fertilizer additive product -5-ALA(5-ALA).

  It is an amino acid and a kind of photosensitive hormone, which is closely related to the synthesis and accumulation of anthocyanins in fruits and vegetables. 5-ALA can effectively promote the expression of related genes, and then promote the advance synthesis and accumulation of anthocyanins in fruit peel, and promote fruit coloring. Accelerate the conversion of substances accumulated in photosynthesis to soluble sugars, increase sugar accumulation, and improve fruit quality.

  Case 1:5-ALA promoting Jujube coloring test

  When the flowering yield of red jujube reached about 40%, it was sprayed for the second time at an interval of 7 days. The six treatments with 5-ALA as the main compound significantly increased the fruit growth ability. The most significant treatment was the 20ppm 5-ALA treatment, which significantly improved the sugar-acid ratio of fruit, improved the taste and improved the fruit shape index compared with GA3. The single fruit weight was increased, and the yield was increased by 43.85%.

  Case 2:5-ALA promotes apple fruit coloring effect

  20 days before apple harvesting, the fruit was impregnated with 100, 200 mg/L of 5-ALA solution. The results showed that the anthocyanin content of 100mg/LALA treatment was 95% higher than that of control, and the anthocyanin content of 200mg/LALA treatment was 120% higher than that of control. At the same time, ALA treatment can significantly improve the soluble solid content and solid acid ratio of apple fruits. The soluble solid content of fruit treated with 200mg/LALA is 29% higher than that of control, and the ratio of solid acid in fruit is increased by 4%~27%.

  Case 3: Study on the mechanism of ALA promoting early coloring of peach peel

  Before coloring the fruit, the fruit was coated with 5-ALA solution of 50, 100, 200mg/L. The results showed that ALA treatment could promote the early coloring of pericarp and the early ripening of fruit, and the effect of 200 mg/L was the most obvious, about 5 days earlier than the control. ALA treatment also significantly promoted the preexpression of multiple genes, and the gene expression level was in good agreement with the accumulation trend of anthocyanin.

  Case 4:5-ALA promoting mango coloring and sweetening experiment

  20 days before harvest, the fruits were soaked with 0, 100 and 200mg/L 5-ALA solution, respectively, and picked 20 days after soaking and stored at room temperature. The results showed that the anthocyanin content increased after ALA treatment and was higher than that of the control. The anthocyanin content of 200mg/L ALA treatment was the highest, reaching 1.97g/L, which was 2.3 times higher than that of the control. The hardness of the fruits treated with ALA decreased, the soluble solids increased, and the solid-acid ratio increased (the increase of solid-acid ratio indicates the increase of sucrose, glucose and fructose content in the fruit). Moreover, the solid-acid ratio showed an upward trend with the increase of ALA concentration, with the increase range of 21% to 60%.
